What Causes The Mouth To Be The Haven Of Bacteria
Any little difference notice with the the gums, teeth and oral cavity must not be be neglected. Gum disease and infection may start with simple inflammation of gums and if this happen it should not be neglected. Simple inflammation and swollen gums may progress to more serious oral health conditions such as advance gum disease. Bacteria is more often the reason of gum disease and infection.
With poor oral hygiene, bacteria is being allowed to live and build up and form into plaque. Plaque produces toxins and acids that causes inflammation and swollen gums. The food particles that are left in the mouth especially in between the teeth and hard to reach areas make the mouth as the haven of bacteria. With good and proper oral hygiene bacteria may be prevented and as well as gum disease and infection. However, it is still necessary to see the dentist at least twice a year to have a dental assessment. Any unrecognizable symptoms of gum disease may be detected by the dentist and early treatment and prevention may be done as not to progress to more serious condition.
